Salt is an enjoyable action flick that will keep you guessing, or at least wondering. The movie does a good job of causing one to wonder whether or not the character that Angelina Jolie plays (Evelyn Salt) is one of the “good guys” or not.
I give it 3 out of 5 gas cans.
Salt is a fast-paced movie – you will not be bored. The stunts keep coming fast and furious, and they are nicely done.
Fifteen minutes or so into this move I said to myself, “This is a love story as much as it is a thriller.” Okay, let me clarify. This movie is clearly an action flick, and it would not ever be fair to describe it as a romance, however, Evelyn Salt is clearly driven by the love she has for her husband. Don’t mess with Evelyn’s husband or you will pay.
Angelina Jolie plays the part of Evelyn Salt with a quiet passion and strength, her character exudes an aura that says “do not pick a fight with me.”
I also enjoyed both Liev Schreiber (Ted Winter) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Peabody) as they play their parts convincingly, and Liev is great no matter what movie he is in.

My favorite sequence – In the church at the funeral. Evelyn pursues her agenda in a very determined, bold, workmanlike manner. However, the sequence in the CIA building was a close second, as was the short scene when Evelyn lays out an impressive array of weapons and tools on her hotel bed once she gets to New York.
My Favorite quote – “Go get ’em.”
Go see this movie with – Anyone who likes action movies or who is an Angelina fan. This movie has a solid story and Angelina looks great playing this part.
Closing thought – The audience that I saw this movie with was audibly disappointed with the ending of this movie. I have wondered if this movie would have grossed more at the box office if it had had a slightly different ending.
